The story of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves has been illustrated by the english toytheatre. The sceneries are in arabic style and were probably designed in the period of the craze for the eastern world all over Europe. All soldiers wear a crescent moon and there are a few camels and elephants,litters for the princess,cupolas,domes and exotic palm trees.
